01 Sytem Font
Kilchoman’s primary typeface has been Strayhorn MT since its inception in 2005.With the distillery’s 20th anniversary approaching, the team has been working on a series of activations to celebrate this milestone and further personalize core brand elements. As part of this evolution, the new custom Kilchoman System Font will be introduced.
The Kilchoman bottle was custom made for the distillery, and its plinth was the starting point for this new font. This is the Kilchoman System Font - a custom typeface I started developing at the end of 2024, set to be finalized in the next couple of months. It’s designed to work across labels and brand materials, bringing a more cohesive and ownable look to Kilchoman’s identity.

02 20 Years of Kilchoman
Dynamic visual branding for the 20th anniversary of the distillery, supporting events across Europe with 200 guests at each.
Organic posts have secured 60% of the spaces. All remaining spaces were filled through the sponsored ad within three days.
As part of the celebration, a bottle from the first filled cask will be raffled.
The packaging follows the 20th anniversary branding in collaboration with GF Smith, a paper company at the intersection of tradition and innovation.

03 Fēis Īle
Islay FestivalEach year, Islay’s distilleries open their doors to visitors from around the world. On its Fèis Ìle open day, Kilchoman welcomes around 2,000 guests, making it a time to connect with fans, friends, and family. With the festival’s exclusive nature, there’s room for creative experimentation, but it’s equally important that the Islay team feels represented in the work - it’s a day for and about them.
Inspired by the psychedelic style of the late ’70s and early ’80s, I drew from the era’s animation and prog rock. Islay’s rich folklore and ghost stories, shared by the Ileachs, felt perfectly suited to this aesthetic - providing the ideal foundation for the event’s visual identity.

04 Core Branding
The original Kilchoman logo and labels, designed by a friend of Anthony’s, hold sentimental value and have been a consistent symbol of the brand since 2005. To build on this foundation, I created a cohesive visual narrative that highlights Kilchoman’s unique story. Using drone footage of the farm, I designed a vector layout of the fields, adding patterns and a key to illustrate the distillery’s farming processes. This visual tool now features prominently in core brand materials and select merchandise, blending tradition with innovation.

05 Rugby Club
The Islay Rugby Club’s senior team is reuniting in 2025, and we saw the perfect chance to team up on casual rugby wear, sharing a portion of the
profits with them.
Kilchoman is all about tradition and heritage, but whenever possible, I look for ways to bring the brand to newer, younger audiences in an authentic way.
The rugby sets were introduced during the 2025 Fèis Ìle and quickly became the most popular clothing item of the day.

06 Kombucha
As a freelancer, I worked with many passionate small business owners, and this was one of my favorite projects.
Fife’s first independent kombucha brewery, Bad Gal Boocha, launched in 2019 with a DIY approach to branding. By 2021, they were ready for a refresh - something that reflected their environmental values, bold personality, and playful product.
I developed a new visual identity using shapes and colors that captured the drink’s bubbly, sweet, and zesty nature. Beyond a new logo, I designed packaging, print and digital promotions, and a full eCommerce website for subscriptions and wholesale. The rebrand led to a sales surge and new stockists, cementing its presence in the market.

07 Chez TJ
Chez TJ is a contemporary French restaurant in Mountain View, California, housed in a historic Victorian-era building that was once home to the Vice President of the Mountain View Farmers.
In August 2020, I reached out to their marketing team with a specific vision for a refreshed visual identity. It turned out to be perfect timing - they were looking to update their branding for the first time in 25 years.
As part of the rebrand, I designed a new logo and developed a custom uppercase font, adding a unique, personalized touch to their menus, welcome cards, and website.

08 Sotheby’s Auction
With this, the One of One auction bottle, I’m referencing form and texture. Kilchoman’s first ever cask was filled in the winter of 2005, making this auction item the distillery’s oldest ever bottling in 2023.
Kilchoman is surrounded by peat banks, lochs and barley fields. We incorporated these elements in the packaging in a folkloresque style. The goal was to express the dichotomous nature of the distillery with some elements, like the material, embodying tradition and paying homage to Kilchoman’s original fans while hinting at an exciting future by leaving behind symmetry in an organic manner.
