03 Fēis Īle

Islay Festival

Each year, Islay’s distilleries open their doors to visitors from around the world. On its Fèis Ìle open day, Kilchoman welcomes around 2,000 guests, making it a time to connect with fans, friends, and family. With the festival’s exclusive nature, there’s room for creative experimentation, but it’s equally important that the Islay team feels represented in the work - it’s a day for and about them.

Inspired by the psychedelic style of the late ’70s and early ’80s, I drew from the era’s animation and prog rock. Islay’s rich folklore and ghost stories, shared by the Ileachs, felt perfectly suited to this aesthetic - providing the ideal foundation for the event’s visual identity.
